Description:
Situated in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley, Korbel Champagne Cellars produces the United States’ most popular méthode champenoise champagne.
Premium California champagne has been Korbel Champagne Cellars’ focus since the company was founded in 1882. Vineyards in the very cool Russian River Valley and other top appellations – many of which utilize sustainable farming techniques like natural soil amendments and natural pest controls – contribute delicate fruit character to the base wines, but it is Korbel’s utilization of the time-honored méthode champenoise, in which secondary fermentation in the bottle is followed by extended contact on the yeast sediment, that gives Korbel California Champagne its fine, persistent bubbles and subtle complexity. Korbel California Champagne has been produced exclusively by méthode champenoise for more than 125 years.
A consistent gold medal-winner at wine competitions, Korbel California Champagne is the perfect sparkler for every kind of celebration; important celebrations like Presidential Inaugurations (it has been served at the last seven), big celebrations like weddings, small celebrations like birthdays and intimate celebrations like relaxing evenings at home for two.
In addition to champagne, Korbel Champagne Cellars also makes one of America’s most respected brandies, as it has since 1889. Korbel is the only major brandy maker in the United States to maintain complete control of the production process. As a result, Korbel Brandy showcases rich character and smooth California style.

Details:
Planted in the 1880s as an enhancement to the KORBEL family summer home, the gardens did not come fully into their own until a century later when our master horticulturist transformed the grounds into a magnificent array of colors, textures and aromas that shift with the seasons and the Sonoma County weather.
The KORBEL garden's impressive collection of roses – more than 250 varieties in hedge-lined beds – lies in front of the circa 1882 KORBEL family house. Many antique rose varietals have been reestablished in the garden and are budding up for a spectacular display. A wide range of perennials, shrubs, redwood, linden, dogwood, flowering plum trees, and plants native to the redwood forest surround the main rose garden.
Garden Tour Hours:
The Garden Tour is offered daily, 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday (mid-April through mid-October).

2008 Korbel 2008 Brut – Made with Organic Grapes Vintage - Champagne Brut - Champagne
Retail Price: $15.99
Made in the classic Korbel style, crisp, delicate and bright. We always strive to present the pure flavors of the grape in all of our champagnes. The organically grown grapes in this cuvee deliver well-integrated aromas and flavors of apple, pear and white peaches. The finish is medium dry, with a slight savory note at the end.
