Grown on sandstone derived soils on our Noordhoek Estate, and produced through reductive winemaking techniques, our Cape Point Vineyards Stonehaven Sauvignon Blanc exemplifies this variety’s fruit profile and drinkability: On the nose, the wine shows an abundance of tropical fruit along with citrus, grapefruit and freshly cut grass, which follows through to a crisp palate with a long limey finish. This wine can be enjoyed now, yet will develop beautifully over the next 3 years.

2009 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve Vintage - Sauvignon Blanc - White

Grown on clay and decomposed granite on our Noordhoek Estate, this Sauvignon Blanc expresses mineral tones with structure and longevity. A combination of barrel and tank fermentation results in a nose that tends to show tropical fruit, citrus and some subtle herbal/khaki bush characteristics. With time this wine tends to show some oyster and brine characteristics, resulting in a fantastic mineral backbone to yield a wine which ages beautifully over 5 years. Enjoy with sushi, oysters, salmon tartar and seared tuna.

2008 Isliedh Vintage - Blends - White

Named after Sybrand’s granddaughter, Isliedh best reflects the uniqueness of our Noordhoek Estate: Here a special block of severely windswept vines yield tiny crops of concentrated and well structured Sauvignon Blanc. To add texture, the wine is blended with our Semillon, barrel fermented in 50% new and 50% 2nd fill French Oak, and then aged on lees for 10 months. Once bottled, the wine is allowed to mature for a year, ensuring that customers gain “a glimpse of what is yet to come”. This wine displays fantastic mineral tension backed by flavours of tropical fruit, limes, spice and subtle oak which follow onto a full palate with great length. The wine drinks fantastically well on release but will develop further over a 5-10 year period.

2008 Semillon Vintage - Simillion - White

Picked from sandstone derived soils on our Noordhoek Estate, our Cape Point Vineyards Semillon is fermented in 1st fill barrels before spending 10 more months in barrel on gross lees. The result is dusty, herbaceous tones with black currant, limes and subtle oak, ending with a bone dry finish. If allowed to develop further in bottle, these elements give way to fantastic wax, lanolin, pineapple and tangerine flavours. A blend with 12% Sauvignon Blanc, our Semillon is a fantastic food partner, best enjoyed with spicy Asian dishes.

2008 Chardonnay Vintage - Chardonnay - White

Grapes for this wine are picked on the picturesque south facing Noordhoek slopes from the Peninsula’s southern most vineyards. Our Cape Point Vineyards Chardonnay is barrel fermented for 11 months in 40% new oak, and the remainder 2nd and 3rd fill barrels. The wine shows a complex array of citrus, apricot, oatmeal and honey flavours with strong minerality and some subtle toasty notes. This all follows onto a wonderfully full palate with crisp acids and great length. This chardonnay is drinking beautifully at present, but try to exercise patience as it will only improve over the next 2-5 years.

2008 Splattered Toad Shiraz/ Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage - Blends - Red

Dedicated to our loveable neighbour, the Western Leopard Toad, this blend shows an abundance of red fruit and spice, along with subtle oak undertones. This follows to a velvety palate with soft elegant tannins and good length. Best enjoyed at 18°C with a hearty dish this wine is ready for drinking now, but will only improve over the next 5 years. R1 from each bottle sold will be donated to the CPV Sustainability Fund.
