Description:

In late 1996, Guillermo Toro, distinguished Chilean businessman and supplier of glass containers to the wine industry for more than 50 years, proposed an expansion of the family business that would help him realize his long-held dream of filling his bottles with his own high quality red wine.

After a rigorous 2-year search for land, he acquired the property that would come to fulfill his very high expectations in the Coastal Maipo Valley.

Viña Chocalán's location in the coastal or Pacific area of the Maipo Valley has a particularly special potential for producing very high quality wines with a style of their own.

In 2002, Chocalán bought a large field close to the Pacific Ocean in the 5th region of Chile, with the idea of expanding the Chocalán Project.

The terroir of Malvilla is ideal to to produce fine white wines, the strategic location of the Malvilla vineyard is recognized as the best in Chile for white wines.

Nowadays Chocalán continues growing and expanding his wines around the world. We are present with our wines in more than 25 countries.
